This would normally indicate a problem with one of the following:- all of the required files are not in the same folder as the .exe - check that toppyLib.dll, tfdll.dll, system.data.sqllite.dll and Common.config are in the same folder.
- check that you have full access to all of those files - Vista can be quite aggressive with security permissions

Ok, I deleted it from c:\topfield\explorer and put it in c:\users\ and it ran. Thanks for that.
Any ideas why it wouldn't just run from C:\topfield\explorer even though I've disabled UAC? "Run as Administrator" didn't work either.
I also get this on both my vista and my xp machines if I click on the EPG tab:
See the end of this message for details on invoking

It's about default permissions. Try to create a new folder under c: (say c:\toppypc) then check the security settings on that folder - do you have the Attributes showing as "Read only - only applies to files in folder" ? You can change the default permissions on the folder so that files inherit the correct permissions. Also, is your PC a corporate PC? Maybe they've added additional security controls through group policy. icsamppl (2008-11-18)

Ok - this I've seen before but haven't got to the bottom of. Generally this problem occurs when it tries to load an EPG that is invalid. This can be caused by a number of methods including: - you've just changed the epg type on the PVR and it hasn't had a chance to populate properly
- I've cached an invalid copy of eit.xml in the cache folder
The first thing I would try is to delete eit.xml from the cache subfolder and try again. If it still doesn't work, try to go to the EPG2 tab and press Reload EPG - that should force a re-copy and format of the EPG. BTW are you using ice or fta EPG? Can you post your Common.config settings for the EPG? cheers, John

Unfortunately I'm still getting;
"Error loading EPG (ReloadEPG) - LoadEPG: error retrieving EPG file(s): Hour, Minute, and Second parameters describe an un-representable DateTime."
All tabs other than the two EPG tabs, which both show this error message, look to be OK.
I replaced all files in the application except my Common.config file and I've tried deleting all the cache content and restarting without any change in the error message.

Hi Robert - I thought I tested this when you reported the issue a while ago - maybe not. I'll give it another go tonight and get back to you.

Robert - could you please send me your /tmp/channel.db and /tmp/eit.db files? I've tried with mine and it works fine - may be something local?
