Hi, I just picked up the last 4400 a David Jones had and have been having a play with it. I don’t have my antenna system upgraded yet for digital but I can pickup a couple of channels already with what I have but I have the following anomaly

When I plug the antenna into the first RFin/antenna socket the system picks up the channels in auto scan and I can view them ok.

If I plug the antenna into the second RFin/antenna socket I don’t get a thing. No channels when I do a scan and the little signal meter never moves.

With the little loop cable between the two, same result when trying PIP.

Is this normal? I guess I can do some better testing on the weekend when I get mu UHF antenna up in the air.

Thanks in advance for any replies

P.S. Software upgrade went well once I figured out when to turn the unit on at the correct time in the sequence.

I've never just connected to the single tuner, so don't know if this is normal behaviour. Have you tried doing two recordings at once, and if so what happens? If you can't record two different services at once you have a problem and need to get it replaced.

Thanks for the reply, I read somewhere that the tuners might be switched on only needed so I will try doing a dual record and see what happens.

I was just worried that i had a DUD.

Thanks again

Thanks fr the replies. I found that it switched on the other reciever as required. Once I got the proper antenna installed it all came to life
